Gigha is a lovely place to unwind. The house is well located, well-managed and has all the essentials - an ideal base to epxlore the island. Boathouse restaurant is very good; the gardens are fine; lovely small beaches; bicycles are useful to explore the north end.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Beach View Cottage. The Cottage is perfect for dogs with a secure garden and lovely throws for the sofas for them to snuggle up on. The beach is only a short walk away. The cottage is airy and bright and the open plan area makes for a very sociable living space.

The owners have thought of absolutely everything. The cottage was beautiful - exactly what we wanted. It was so peaceful. The rooms were lovely with beautiful furnishing - the beds were so cosy. Everything was so clean and there were plenty of towels in the shower room. We loved the fire, and there was everything in the kitchen. There were toys for the kids. We loved our walks to the beach. The hotel is only minutes away and the meal was excellent - nothing we could fault in fact we had lunch and dinner there. The wee shop was well stocked. The ferry was great.

The location was perfect. Well equipped house, comfortable bed and sofas... I liked having a bath (not just a shower). Very quiet, and fabulous view from the back of the house. The living area carpet needs attention - and maybe a fan heater for the bathroom. Garden furniture is a must have. (Thanks for your review, just to let you know that the living room has been upgraded and there is now lovely all weathers garden furniture, we welcome you back )

Particularly loved the bay opposite the Gigha Hotel. The cottage was very tastefully decorated and designed and well appointed with all that you could possibly need. Although not on the beach we had views from the window and the lovely wee bay / beach was a very short walk away. The cosy dressing gowns were a lovely touch. Maybe needs an extra dish towel or two but we really had everything we needed .

We liked the comfy beds and cosy lounge area. Self catering facilities were exceptional and little extras, especially the Christmas tree added to our enjoyment. Also a short walk to the local hotel/bar.

A real community feel. The Boathouse restaurant is unbelievably good, and the twin beaches are well worth the trip over a boggy field. We will be back!

Sometimes you find a hidden gem. This was one of these times. We've been booking for a good number of years and this was one of the best. An amazing house, in the most wonderful little village, local restaurant 50 meters away (named the 'football club'), best food we had. The local beach 'Wreck Beach' is quite alone and a few minutes away. We were promised that we would 'sleep like a log' and that's exactly what happened. The owners were lovely - really great! Thanks!

Sarah was very helpful explaining about the local restaurants and what to do in the area. We had an afternoon flight and she accommodated us with a slightly later checkout. The accomodation is all newly kitted out with comfortable beds - ideal for family and friends. The view over the salt lakes are great and a shaded area outside the terrace is great. Very comfortable stay, thank you Sarah.
